What is a person asked to do as part of becoming a member of Soroptimists?- Sharing
Friendships and Networking: Enjoy the support, friendship, and referrals that
you club membership can offer and make an effort to get to know your club’s
members.
- Getting
Involved: Individuals join Soroptimists because of a desire to get involved in
their community by performing community service. Members are requested to share
their time and talent by participating in club service projects and fundraising
events.
- Attending
Meetings: Regularly attending meetings and club functions is important, and
members should try to attend as often as possible.
- Recruiting
Members: Soroptimist members are encouraged to invite prospective members to
meetings and events as often as possible.
- Participating
in Fund Raisers: Members should be willing and enthusiastic to participate in
fund raising function. Raising funds is important to help support Soroptimist
activities.
- Leading and
Supporting: Accepting leadership challenges and supporting others who have
accepted such positions
- Paying Dues:
Paying member dues on time permits the club to remain in good standing with the
region and federation.
